A memorial service for Anita Triebenbach of Glenwood, Minnesota will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Chippewa Falls Lutheran Church, Terrace, MN, with Reverend Brenda Boogren officiating. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Chippewa Falls Lutheran Cemetery.
Anita Lois Triebenbach was born on September 4, 1951, in Long Prairie, Minnesota to Edwin and Edna (Steinert) Triebenbach. She was baptized on October 21, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Long Prairie by Reverend EA Dicke. She was confirmed on April 11, 1965, also at Trinity Lutheran, by Reverend Oliver Schultz.
On November 15, 1975, Anita was married to Ronald Myron Henderson at Trinity Lutheran Church. The couple later divorced in January of 2019.
Anita worked as a seamstress at Munsingwear in Little Falls, Minnesota. While living in Starbuck, Anita helped with housekeeping and laundry at Minnewaska Lutheran Home.
Anita enjoyed sewing, cooking, doing crafts, reading, gardening, and doing anything that kept her busy. One of her favorite things to do was baking cookies. She loved doing the annual Christmas baking at the farm with her family, friends, and neighbors.
Anita died Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Glenwood Village Care Center. She was 73 years old.
She is survived by her son: Myron “Mike” (Ashley) Henderson of Glenwood; 3 daughters; 14 grandchildren: Hailey, Blake, and Logan Henderson, Matt, Adam, and Natalie Neumann, Bryce, Aidan, Kelsy, Chase, and Cyril Hacker, Jake, Amber, and Rachel Smeby; brothers: Dale Triebenbach of Long Prairie, and Bruce (Lori) Triebenbach of Osakis; sisters: Wanda Rosenow of Long Prairie, Linda (Kerry) Nelson of Carlos, Gloria Geisenhof of Long Prairie, Monica Broten of Princeton; aunts and uncles: Harlan Kuhlman of Minneapolis, Robert Triebenbach of Plymouth, Ardella Triebenbach of Perham, Marilyn Steinert of Sauk Centre; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Edna; a son in infancy; and many aunts and uncles.
