Anita Rene Tynch, 58, of Powhatan Trail, Edenton, NC, died Wednesday, July 17, 2024, in her home.
Anita was born in Chowan County on May 30, 1966. A graduate of John A. Holmes High School, she later continued her education at Pitt Community College in Greenville. Many will remember her through her bookkeeping and accounting jobs at local businesses including Leary’s Plant Farm, Nixon’s Fishery, and Atlantic Tire Corporation. Later she worked in Customer Service at QVC.
Surviving are her parents, Sylvia Daniels Tynch and Ellis Ray Tynch, both of Edenton; two sisters, Robin Tynch Stallings (husband, Paul) of Edenton and Karen Tynch Swain (husband, Don) of Roper; nephews, Brandon Stallings (wife, Alanna) of Kill Devil Hills and William Stallings of Edenton; other extended members of both the Tynch and Daniels families, and her faithful canine companion, Reese.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Home & Crematory, 735 Virginia Road, Edenton, and will be conducted by the Rev. Matt Dupuy. Friends may visit with the family in the funeral immediately following the service, or all other times at her mother's home, 103 Tynch Town Road, Edenton.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in her memory be made to the Tri-County Animal Shelter, 138 Icaria Road, Tyner, NC 27980, or to Habitat for Humanity, 1370 N. Broad Street, Edenton, NC 27932 (or online at www.habitat.org/edenton).
