Anita Louise Weimer

Anita Louise (McQuaide) Weimer, age 66, of Blairsville, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 22, 2025. She was born on November 4, 1959, in Indiana, PA, to John and Janet (Haney) McQuaide. She was the sixth of twelve children and was raised on her family's farm in Clarksburg, PA, where she developed a lifelong love of nature, gardening, and time spent outdoors.

On September 20, 1980, Anita married Richard Weimer Jr., and together they shared 45 years of marriage. They built a warm and loving home and raised three daughters, to whom Anita was a devoted, selfless, and extraordinary mother. She worked alongside her husband at the family business, Weimer Rebuilding, for 22 years. Anita was a member of the Blairsville Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses. Her greatest joy came from time spent with family and friends, especially her role as a mother and grandmother. She was known for her homemade pies, daily walks, and her love of being outdoors-watching birds, enjoying nature, and soaking up the sunshine by the pool.

She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Richard; her daughters, Kristen Shaffer, Brittany Weimer, and Erica Weimer; her granddaughter, Lilliana Shaffer; and her eleven siblings.

In accordance with Anita's wishes, there will be no public visitation. Private interment will take place at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont, PA. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Anita's memory through a Pennsylvania-based tree-planting tribute. Floral arrangements may also be sent to the family.
