Anita Wiederecht

Anita Cholas Wiedercht (Cholas) was born on April 17,1947, in Paonia, Colorado, to Steve Cholas and Florence (Andros) Cholas. She grew up in Paonia and graduated from Paonia High School in 1965.She then attended Mesa College in Grand Junction and then went to beauty school at American Beauty Academy, graduating in 1967. Anita worked as a hairdresser until 1994. She married Jack Wiedercht, Sr., on June 3, 1972. Jack passed on June 9th, 1996.

Anita belonged to the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, an affiliation of the Order of the Masonic Lodge; was Mother Advisor for Rainbow Girls in Hotchkiss, Colorado; was a member of the Order of Eastern Star in Paonia; and was an organist for both Rainbow and Eastern Star for many years. She was also an organist for the Episcopal Church in Paonia.

Anita loved to cook; loved music, especially Greek music and hymns. She also loved to read Scripture.

Anita is survived by: Brother Dan (Doris) Cholas, Georgia (Tom) Forli’s, Stepson, Jack (Sherin) Wiederecht Jr., Jessica (Manny) Wiederecht, Sonya Brown, Tara Obergon, Jack E Wiederecht 3rd, Great- grandchildren: Brennan Brown, Roman and Matteo Massacci.
