Anita Ramona Zide

Anita R. Zide, 88, of Williamstown, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Harmar Place, Marietta. She was born May 26, 1936 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Jess and Kathleen Hutchison Bango.
She was a 1954 graduate of Parkersburg High School, and also graduated from the Mountain State Business College. She worked with her late husband, Robert, to build Zide's Sports Shop in Marietta. She enjoyed needle work, was an avid reader, played bridge, and loved to golf, and was a former champion of the Ladies Golf League at the Marietta Country Club. She was a member of the Basilica of St. Mary Catholic Church in Marietta.
She is survived by one daughter, Lori Williamson (Jeff) of Williamstown; two sons, Rodney Zide (Jane) and John Zide (Teressa) both of Williamstown; one brother, John Bango (Mary) of Parkersburg; one sister, Joyce Geil (Jim) of Venice, Fl.; a sister-in-law, Gloria Absi of Columbus, OH.; seven grandchildren, Rob, Vicki, Ryan, Zach, Alexis, Sydney, and Izabel; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her Husband Robert Zide; one daughter, Vicki Zide; and a daughter-in-law, Annette Zide.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, November 18, 2024 at St. Michael Catholic Church in Vienna with Rev. John Gallagher as celebrant. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Lambert Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Marietta, OH.
