Ann C. Andre, age 80, died December 9, 2024 in Strong Memorial Hospital following a short illness. She was born July 11, 1944 in Richmond, VA to Sammy Gray and Marjorie (Whitaker) Patsel and when not in school, she spent the summers on the farm working and being raised by her grandmother Polly Macy Whitaker until she was 12. Ann moved to this area and has lived in this area since 1963.

Ann Worked as a Teacher's Aide at WeMoCo in Spencerport. While in school and with her best friend Cathy, Ann studied various business course, earth studies, oceanography, psychology, health and wellness and even took the Notary Public course. The two of them shared some great times in their day! She was an avid bowler having bowled a perfect game and was President of the Medina Bowling League in earlier years. Ann also worked as a Private Home Health Aide, she loved animals and loved to spend time with her grandchildren and her grand-dogs. Mrs. Andre was predeceased by her husband James, Sr. and son Matthew John.

She is survived by her children: Sherry Lynn West of VA, Marjorie (Ralph Conover) Steffen of Kendall, James Andre II of Kendall, her grandchildren: James III, Ashleigh, Matt Jr., Michael, Marissa, Mitchel, several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and her best friend: Cathy Manno of Kendall.

The family will receive friends at the Christopher Mitchell Funeral Home, 16650 State Rt. 31-Holley, MONDAY 12/16/24 from 4-6pm only. Interment will be Wednesday 12/18/24 at 2pm in WNY National Cemetery in Corfu. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to: P.A.W.S., 3371 Gaines Basin Rd., Albion, NY, 14411.
