Ann L. Balmer

Ann L. Balmer, 69, of Ephrata, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2026, at WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital.

She was born in Ephrata, daughter of the late John and Anna (Zimmerman) Weinhold and was the wife of Jesse Balmer, with whom she shared 50 years.

Ann was a member of Middle Creek Church, Lititz. She enjoyed a beautiful sunset, cooking, baking, camping, collecting seashells, and playing games - at which she was very competitive. She also enjoyed camping with the Camplighters Christian camping group, which she did for most of her life. And she loved her grandchildren.

Ann worked different jobs over the years and enjoyed volunteering with the Woodcrest Retreat Auxiliary.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by 3 children, J. Allen Balmer, husband of Celena (Martin) of Pine Grove, Andrew Balmer, husband of Brooke (McMahon) of Akron, daughter, Amber, wife of Andrew Johnson of West Virginia; 8 grandchildren, Isaac, Aaron, Claire, MacGyver, Maverick, Kayliana, Jordan and Zoi Johnson; 3 siblings, Karen Weiler of Ephrata, Gerald Weinhold, husband of Deb of Stevens, Jean Olivo, wife of Steve of Adam's Center, NY, and honorary sister, Teresa Walker of New Jersey.

A time of visitation with Ann's family will be on Monday, April 6, 2026, from 10 to 11 am, with a Celebration of Life service to follow at 11 am at Middle Creek Church, 351 Middle Creek Road, Lititz.

Interment is private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions in Ann's memory may be made to Woodcrest Retreat, 225 Woodcrest Dr., Ephrata, PA 17522.
