Ann M. Blais

Ann M. Blais, a beloved member of the Manchester community, passed away peacefully at her home on November 18, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family after an extended period of illness.

Born on September 21, 1948, in Manchester, NH, Ann was the daughter of the late Raymond Dolbec and Emilliene (Couillard) Dolbec, Rousseau. Ann dedicated her entire career to working in data entry and spent many fulfilling years at UPS. Her dedication to her work was commendable, and she retired with a sense of accomplishment.

Outside of her career, Ann had a wide range of interests and hobbies that brought joy to her life. She loved spending time at the beach, feeling the warmth of the sun and listening to the sound of the waves crashing against the shore. Playing Bingo was another favorite pastime that always put a smile on her face. Ann also enjoyed watching classic TV shows that captured moments from different eras. One of her greatest passions was cooking, particularly making her famous Greek Pita and Spanakopita.

Ann will always be remembered for having a sweet and funny disposition. She possessed great patience and kindness, which made her a joy to be around. Her love for others knew no bounds, and she was always generous with both her time and resources. Ann was also known for her strong-willed nature, as she faced challenges head-on with resilience and determination.

Survived by her partner of 30 years, Craig Richer, Ann leaves behind a legacy that will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who loved her dearly. She is also survived by her son Joseph Moquin; daughter-in-law Joan; granddaughter Meghan; sisters Madeleine Parsons, Mary Kirouac, Cathy Dolbec; nieces; nephews; extended family members; friends; and all those who were fortunate to have been a part of her life.

Ann was preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Blais, brother Paul Dolbec, and sister Carmen Parnell. Their memories will forever be cherished.

A Memorial Gathering for Ann M. Blais will be held on December 1, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, with a memorial service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Phaneuf Funeral Homes & Crematorium - Hanover located at 243 Hanover St, Manchester, NH, 03104. The burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Bedford, NH.
