Ann Branton, age 79, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025.

Mrs. Branton was born in Myrtle Beach, a daughter of the late Thomas Wilson Cox and the late Lillian Blanch Young Cox. She loved flowers, gardening, cooking, playing cards, and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Branton also enjoyed going to Maggie Valley, NC and Blowing Rock, NC. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Q. Branton, Sr.; one son, Sylvan Horry Branton; three brothers, John Cox, Elwin Cox, and Thomas Cox; and two sisters, Terry Strawhorn and Paulette Barnes.

Survivors include one son, John Q. Branton, Jr. (Melissa) of Conway; two daughters, Angela M. Branton (Christy) of Aynor and Vera Dennis (Chuck) of Bucksport; eleven grandchildren, Matt Branton, Jonathan Branton, Samantha Branton, Marie Young, Dustin Smith (Chantel), Spencer Todd, Gregory Brown, Brittany Brown, Scott Branton, Alayna Branton, and Amber Cherry (Jason); eighteen great grandchildren; one brother, Danny Cox (Nancy) of Ocean City, MD; and one sister-in-law, Andy Cox of Conway.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 5, 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel with Rev. John Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
