Ann Marie Consiglio, née Esposito, of Gulfport, Mississippi, passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 81.
Ann Marie lived her life devoted to her family. She often joked that her full-time job was being a “domestic princess”—a title she wore with pride. Her daughters, Michele Chamberlain (Mike Jones) and Maureen Flynn, carry on her legacy of love, laughter, and resilience. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton Flynn, and son, Michael Flynn, whom she held dearly in her heart. Ann Marie was the cherished grandmother of Donna Jones, Haven Smith, and Honor Smith, each of whom brought her immense joy.
To know Ann Marie was to know hospitality in its purest form. Her kitchen was the heart of her home, filled with the comforting aromas of freshly baked bread and trays of her homemade pasta drying across every available surface. No one ever left her house hungry—more often than not, they left with an entire meal packed with love.
Ann Marie’s spirit was bold and full of life. A self-described “feisty broad,” she never missed an opportunity to share a compliment, flirt a little, or flash the smile that could light up a room. She had a gift for laughter and could get anyone to join her for a dance. Her warmth, humor, and charm made friends out of strangers and created memories that will linger in the hearts of all who knew her.
Ann Marie’s life was defined not by titles or accolades, but by the joy she spread and the love she poured into everyone fortunate enough to know her. Her family will forever remember her as a survivor, who went out fighting until the end. She was one tough cookie or as her family lovingly called her, The Tank.
Her memory will be carried on in stories told around the dinner table, in recipes passed down through generations, and in the laughter she sparked that will echo for years to come.
A wake will be held on Friday, August 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D’Iberville, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are invited to join in light refreshments afterward (location will be announced after mass) in celebration of Ann Marie’s life .
Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes is honored to serve the family of Ann Marie Consiglio.
