Anthony M. Consiglio

Anthony M. Consiglio, 95, the beloved husband of the late Virginia M. Ortello Consiglio passed away on February 9th, 2025. Anthony was a loving father of Joyce L. Consiglio Sadl and Alan A. Belbusti (Dale). Loving Grandfather of Gina M. Sadl- Rodrigues (Peter), Victoria G. Belbusti and predeceased by Andrew J. Belbusti. Great Grandfather of Jacob A. Rodrigues, Jace A. Rodrigues and Jackson J. Rodrigues. Brother of Josephine A. Pearce. Predeceased by brothers Michael A. Consiglio, Richard Consiglio, James Consiglio and Joseph Consiglio. Predeceased by sisters Marion Consiglio and Thomasina Balsamo. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews he truly loved. Anthony was born in New Haven, CT on February 16th, 1929, a son of the late James Consiglio and Julia Scirocco. Anthony was the eldest of 8 children who was devoted to his family wholeheartedly. Anthony served in the U.S. Navy for a brief period in his youth. He worked many years as a heliarc welder for Allen Products of Milford. He was known as a "handy man" who fixed and remodeled his home on his own. He was extremely organized, had a place for everything and was always prepared. He enjoyed watching boxing, old-time movies, reading books and listening to music. Anthony loved going out to eat, spending time with his great grandchildren and making people laugh. He was always known for his sense of humor and clever jokes. No matter if he knew you, or if you were a stranger meeting him for the first time, he had a joke. He was also very interested in philosophy and was a spiritual human.A Parlor Service will be held in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 830 Jones Hill Rd., West Haven TUESDAY MORNING at 11:00. Interment will follow in St. Lawrence Cemetery, West Haven. Family and friends may call Tuesday morning from 9:00 until time of Service.
