Ann Hill Phillips Davis, age 94, of Calhoun, GA, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2023, at her residence.

 

Ann was born on April 13, 1929, in Cherokee County, GA, daughter of the late Tom Hill and Lou Quinton Hill. In addition to her parents, Ann was also preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Orlando Phillips; second husband, Olin Davis; and six siblings, Clyde Ingle, Lois Curtis, Faye Bigham, Grace Tippens, Emm Bryant, and Tom Hill. Before retirement Ann worked for Eckerd Pharmacy and prior to that Sample Services. She was a member of Meadowdale Baptist Church. She loved her family dearly and made sure they were taken care of. Ann was a loving mother and grandmother.

 

Ann is survived by her two children, Linda Phillips Sisson and her husband Claude Sisson and Tammy Phillips Buchanan; three grandchildren, Lori Sisson Loftin and her husband James, Lisa Sisson Rackley and her husband Derek, and Taylor Buchanan Brookshire and her husband Chapin; five great-grandchildren, Landon Ladd, Addie Rackley, Ella Rackley, Makenzie Loftin, and Ellie Brookshire.

 

Funeral Services will be conducted on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 4 PM from the Chapel of Thomas Funeral Home with Reverend Jether Cochran officiating. Interment will follow in Fain Cemetery. Pallbearers serving include Chapin Brookshire, Claude Sisson, Landon Ladd, Rickie Holten, James Loftin, and Derek Rackley.

 

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 2 PM until the funeral hour at 4 PM at Thomas Funeral Home.
