Ann Reams Epperson, 87, of Kenbridge, Virginia, joined her family in heaven on March 17, 2026. She was the wife of the late Edward E. “Epp” Epperson, Sr.; daughter of the late Otis and Dora Reams, sister of the late David Nash, and mother-in-law of the late Calvin “Monk” Harris. She is survived by her children, Tamra E. Harris, Nina E. Oakes, (Bobby), Abigail E. White and Edward E. “Root” Epperson, Jr. (Patty); her grandchildren, Edward Harris (Sherri), Calvin Harris (Becky), Tonya Clark (Sean), Kirstie White, Jocelyn Epperson, and Molly Epperson; six great-grandchildren, Regan, Raleigh, Ben, Wyatt, Charley, and Kennedy.
Ann grew up in Kenbridge, Virginia, and graduated from Kenbridge High School. She was a past president of the Kenbridge Emergency Squad Ladies Auxiliary, a Red Cross volunteer, and a member of the Kenbridge United Methodist Church. For 49 years “Cowgirl Ann” was instrumental in the success of the Kenbridge Jackass Derby, the annual fundraiser for the Kenbridge Emergency Squad.
The family will receive friends at the Clarke Funeral Home in Kenbridge on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 10AM until start of services at 11AM. Burial to follow at the Kenbridge Heights Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial donations to the Kenbridge Fire Department, P.O. Box 556 Kenbridge, Va. 23944.
