It is with sadness that we must let you all know the physical task to remain on this earth came to an end for Fae Ann Faddis of Monroe UT. She was particularly proud of claiming that birthplace, and she was just 6 weeks short of making the century mark here in Salt Lake City Utah. She was a great woman that spent her 99 years on this earth striving to make everyone else happy and doing an incredibly good job at it right up until the end.
Fortunately, it's not with a heavy heart that we had to watch her leave, because she brought so much laughter and happiness to all of us. She is now free to go see Chick and Greg Faddis who left far too long before she did. And she will get to realize her hopes of seeing her mother and father again, along with all the others she knew and loved but weren't able to keep their loved one's company for as long as she did for all of us.
Much of the happiness she brought to everyone was by way of her chatting and the laughter that typically ensued. Her mind never failed her, it was simply her body that couldn't keep up. The last 5 years wouldn't have been possible or as joyful without the staff at Alta Ridge, specifically Mel and Christy. And special gratitude to Lindsey Cox, her amazing hospice care nurse that took the most amazing and compassionate care of our mom.
Her sons, Rick, Kel, and Mike, along with 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, will absolutely miss her but there will never be a moment without a memory and a smile thinking of her.
So, we just ask that in your thoughts and prayers, say hi to Ann, because we all know there is nothing she loved more than 'visiting'. Whether it was with family, friends, or even the person taking her order over the phone. When you do, remember she will ask when you will be visiting again, so just plan to have time in your thoughts for her – it will be well worth it.
There is no doubt, you will certainly be missed Ann Faddis!
A visitation for Ann will be held on July 9, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Mountain View Mortuary on 3115 Bengal Blvd, Cottonwood Heights, UT 84121 with a chapel service at 11:00 a.m. and burial to follow.
