Ann D. Flickinger

Ann (Annie) Flickinger, age 79, passed away at Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Center, Fairfield, CT, on Sunday, November 30. Ann was born in Flushing, NY, on July 10, 1946. She worked for 10 years at Con Edison, where she met many good friends, among them, her husband Ken, the father of her three children, Lee Ann, Christina and Kenneth. In 1984, Ann began working at CTM Industries, where she worked until retiring in 2017. After more than seventy years in Flushing and Little Neck, NY, Ann moved to Milford, CT. Ann was a beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, and cat mom. She adored her seven grandchildren, Brenna, Matthew, Jacob, Ian, Declan, Ryan and Sophie. She loved nothing more than spending time with them and being their Gram-mommy. She was a Jets fan, a Knicks fan, and one of the few evolved individuals who can call themselves both a Mets and a Yankees fan. She was known as a kind and supportive friend to many people, including her family, coworkers and neighbors. She will be greatly missed by many. Ann is survived by her three children, seven grandchildren, children-in-law, Michael, Christopher and Rachel, and Mr. Mittens, her "fourth child." A wake will be held Thursday, December 4 at Dalton's Funeral Home in New Hyde Park, NY with a mass at Mary's Nativity Church in Flushing, NY on Friday, December 5 at 10:45 am.
