On May 1, 2024, our beloved Ann Forrestal, passed away into God's grace. Ann was a warrior throughout her life. Born and raised in Nyack, NY. She attended nursing school at St. Vincent's where she met her husband of 35 years. Ann and Frank were blessed to have four children. Ann loved to sit at her kitchen table laughing and sharing stories with friends and family. She was an avid bridge player and a captivating storyteller. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Higgins, Nancy Forrestal (Verne Becker), and Jane Forrestal. Her grandchildren, Michele LaRotonda (Patrick LaRotonda), Megan Higgins (Shane Keetley), and Jake Higgins and her great granddaughters, Emma Marie, Wren Ann, Luna Grace, and Avery Jane. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank V. Forrestal Jr., her son, Frank V. Forrestal III, and her grandson, Luke Johnson. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her strength will continue to inspire generations to come.
A wake for Ann will be held Sunday, May 5,2024 from 2-5 p.m. at Vander Plaat Funeral Home 257 Godwin Ave. Wyckoff, NJ 07481. A Funeral Mass for Ann will be held on Monday, May 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth's Church, 700 Wyckoff Ave. Wyckoff NJ. Interment to follow at Christ the King Cemetery, Franklin Lakes NJ In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude or Lighthouse Family Retreat.
