Leominster, Massachusetts - Ann Celine French of Leominster, MA (formerly of Groton, MA) died Tuesday, October 3, 2023. She was born in Winchester, MA, the daughter of the late David A. French Sr and Ann Marie (Weinel) French. She was a 1979 graduate of Groton Dunstable Regional Secondary School and a 1983 graduate of St. Michael’s College in Winooski, VT.
She enjoyed spending time traveling, reading, sailing, knitting, vacationing, journaling, and spending as much time at the beach as possible, absorbing the sun, reading a good book, swimming in the waves, and hanging out with family. She loved spending time in Maine, Vermont, and Cape Cod. She was an adventurous traveler and her favorite trips included Brazil and Ireland. She was an employee of the Carroll School in Lincoln and Wayland since 1997 with her most recent role being Campus Administrator of the Upper School in Wayland.
She prided herself on being the best aunt, making every effort to attend show choir and theater performances, dance recitals, graduations, birthday parties, and sporting events. She individually selected personalized Christmas ornaments for all her nieces and nephews each year. A birthday or special occasion rarely passed without a thoughtful card received from Ann. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her siblings David French, Jr. (MaryJo Canty), Carolyn Alzapiedi (John), John French (Julie Pappalardo), Paul French (Lara Alterisio), and Kathleen Olson (Tom) and her nieces and nephews, Madeline and Erin French, Nicole and Heather Alzapiedi, Cecelia Stewart (Josh) and Matthew French, David and Vanessa French, Olivia and Anna Olson as well as one great nephew, Fitzgerald Stewart.
Family and friends will gather to honor and remember Ann for a period of visitation on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 4:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M. at the Badger Funeral Home, 45 School St., Groton, MA. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at 10:30 A.M. at St. James Church, 13 St. James Ave., West Groton, MA. The burial will follow at Groton Cemetery, 242 Hollis St., Groton, MA.
