Stephen Bronchuk Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Richardson Funeral Home - Leominster on Mar. 26, 2026.
Stephen Michael Bronchuk, 76, passed away in the early morning on Sunday, March 22nd, 2026, at St. Vincent's Hospital after a brief illness. Born on March 13th, 1950 in Lawrence, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Stephen and Mary (Gavriluk) Bronchuk.

Raised in Easton, Massachusetts, Stephen was a devoted fan of all Boston sports teams and local youth athletics. He was well-versed in the music of the 1950s, 60s, 70s, and 80s, and enjoyed going to concerts with friends around the New England area. He would support local bands where he made long-lasting connections, attending shows and staying in touch over the years. Stephen was well known in the candlepin and duckpin bowling world, inheriting the love and skill from his father. He was the founding co-host of the local King of the Palace competition show at the former New Palace Lanes in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, where his knowledge of the sport was on full display.

Stephen and his wife, Deborah (McGarry) Bronchuk, moved to Leominster, Massachusetts in the mid-1980s, later becoming a big supporter of Leominster High School athletics. He was always found at Doyle Field on Friday nights in the fall, especially when his daughters, Claire and Dianna, were playing in the Leominster High School Blue Devil Marching Band.

Stephen's trademark look of 1960s framed glasses and flannel shirts will always be remembered, as well as his generous coin collection and gifts. He assisted his close friends and family with their own coin collection by frequently gifting them with coins as tokens of gratitude.

Stephen is survived by his wife, Deborah (McGarry) Bronchuk; his daughters, Claire Bronchuk, Dianna Bronchuk Duran, and her husband Kevin Duran; his sister Stephanie (Bronchuk) Kelly, her husband Joseph Kelly; his brother Daniel Bronchuk, his wife, Gail Bronchuk; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, March 30th from 4pm to 6pm at Richardson Funeral Home at 106 West Street, Leominster, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in his honor to the Leominster High School Music Boosters and the Leominster Blue Devils Scholarship.
