Ann W. Gillott
Surrounded by her loving family, Ann W. Gillott was called to eternal rest on
July 25, 2023.
Ann was born in Carbondale, Pennsylvania to the late Edward and Loretta Wade.
She graduated from St. Rose High School in Carbondale and Marywood University
in Scranton, PA where she received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
Ann was a Media Specialist for thirty-eight years with Miami-Dade County Public
Schools and was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa Educational Sorority. She was a
doll collector with membership in UFDC – United Federation of Doll Clubs,
NIADA – National Institute of American Doll Artists, ODACA – Original Doll Artists
Council of America and a charter member of NAME – National Association of
Miniature Enthusiasts.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel J. Gillott. She is survived by
her children, Susan and Edward and grandson, Anthony.
The funeral will be Thursday, August 3 rd at 1:30 with a Mass at St. Brendan
Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
