Ann Marie "Nancy" Gray (nee McLaughlin)
November 27, 1938-May 15, 2025
Ann Marie Gray passed away peacefully on May 15, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born in Chester on November 27, 1938, she was the second of eleven children to the late Rita and James McLaughlin.
Ann shared 50 years of marriage with her late husband, Benjamin John Gray, and together they raised four sons: Benjamin (Lorena), Dennis (Tricia), Michael (Raj), and Mark (Sherry). She was a proud grandmother to five granddaughters: Stephanie (Dean), Ashley (Bryan), Natalie, Emily and Megan and Great Grandmother to three: Sofia, Emelia and Stanley.
She spent most of her life in Springfield, where she was active in her parish, St Francis of
Assisi, and devoted herself to raising her family. Ann treasured family vacations to Bethany Beach, eventually making it her home. She loved puzzle books, old black and white movies, a good cup of tea and never said no to maple syrup and potatoes.
Despite growing up with little, Ann's life was rich in love. Her brothers and sisters were her lifelong best friends. She will be remembered for her smile, her quiet strength, and her love for family.
