Ann Buccaran Griffice entered into eternal rest on January 13, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Arlen G. Griffice, Sr. Mother of Arla Duplechien, Catherine Matherne (late Paul), Bridget Allen (Charles), Arlen “Buddy” Griffice, Jr. (Marie), Anna Kennair (Ronnie), and the late Veronica Griffice. Grandmother of Michael Vaughn (Aimee), Alicia Plumer (Donald), Gerald "T.J." Duplechien, Jr., Joshua Duplechien (Rachel), Brian Duplechien (Lindsey), Jonathan Buras (Rachel), Eric Buras, Mary Bordelon (Jason), John Tomasovic (Dora), Sime Tomasovic, Emily Duncan (Vernon), Adam Griffice, and the late Marlin Fisher. Great-grandmother of Hannah (Taylor), Grace (Matthew), Ethan, Baeli, BJ, Brittney, Lacy, Briannah, Abigail, Jackson, Taysom, Viktorjia, Sabrina, Julian, Weston, Tyson, Raynae, John Griff, Miles, Maxwell, Kailyn, Keylan, and Bryonni. Great-great-grandmother of Benjamin and Jane. Daughter of the late Josephine Roberts Buccaran and Joseph Buccaran. Sister of Joseph C. Buccaran (late Janice) and the late Barbara Jurisich. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ann was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Age 87 years and a lifelong resident of Empire, LA. Ann was a devout parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church, Empire, LA , a member of St. Ann Christian Ladies, and a member of the St. Ann Choir. She was a volunteer with Caring Hands where she served the community for many years. Ann was also a member of the VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxiliaries. She was also honored as a St. Louis Medallion recipient. Special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph Hospice and Carpenter House.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Ann Catholic Church, Empire, LA on Monday, January 19, 2026 at 12 Noon. Visitation will be held at church from 10 AM until funeral time. Interment St. Patrick Cemetery Mausoleum, Port Sulphur, LA. Arrangements handled by Mothe Funeral Homes. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to St. Ann Catholic Church and St. Joseph Hospice Foundation.
