Ann Harne

1945 - 2026

Ann M. Harne, 81, of Beaver Creek, passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at Doey's House, after a courageous 4 year battle with gastric cancer. Born January 24, 1945, Ann was the daughter of Harold R. Lewis & Ruth (Cross) Lewis of Myersville, MD. Survived by husband of 61 years, Harold L. Harne of Beaver Creek, and daughters Beth Anne Linton (Wade) of Frederick and Kristie K. Drury (Jay) of Hagerstown. Surviving grandchildren include Christian S. Drury, Jillian M. Drury, Cassandra M. Linton, and Thaddeus J. Linton. Also surviving are a brother Donald Lewis (Barbara) of Beaver Creek and a sister Linda Graham (Gerald ) of Big Pool, nephews, nieces, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, sister Doris McPherson of Parkton, MD and Brother Richard Lewis of Frederick, MD. Ann was a Realtor with Long & Foster of Hagerstown for many years. Prior to that, Ann was an Insurance Agent with the C. Basil Grossnickle Ins. Agency in her hometown of Myersville. Ann was a graduate of Middletown High School's class of 1963 and attended The National Legal Secretarial College. She was a member of Virginia Avenue Church of God, Hagerstown, where she was delighted to have a large, loving, faith family. Ann was a previous member of Faith Chapel, Hagerstown, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and event coordinator. Ann was also very active in her childhood church, Mt. Zion United Methodist Church of Myersville, MD. Faith and family were the integral part of Ann's life. She delighted herself in spending time with her grandchildren and preparing their favorite meals and homemade desserts. Every holiday was an occasion to celebrate at Grammy's house. A celebration of life will be held Friday March 20, 2026, at 11:00 am, at Douglas A Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd N, Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor Shawn Bushman officiating. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 19, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
