Ann Hontz, 71, of rural Sedalia, Missouri, died late Thursday evening, January 9, 2025, at St. Lukes Hospice House, Kansas City, Mo.
She was born April 26, 1953, the daughter of Lafayette Wade Moon and Melvina (Peek) Moon.
Ann worked in home health care for many years. She was a kind caregiver and also enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her family and spending time with them.
Survivors include a son, Tony Meyer, Sedalia, Mo.; 3 grandchildren, Shyanne Meyer, Amanda Meyer, and Ronnie Meyer; 3 great-grandchildren, Toni Michelle Hall, Shyla Meyer, and Braydan Meyer; 2 sisters, Jane Stinson and Goldie Younce; a brother, Lester Moon; and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nephews and great-nieces. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Kenny Moon, David Moon, Alfred Moon, and Bud Moon; and 3 sisters, Barbara Odell, Dorothy Humphrey, and Lucy Schlobohm.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hadley Funeral Home, Windsor.
