Ann Hooper Obituary
Ann Nichols Hooper, age 84 of Cullowhee NC, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021. She was born on July 17,1937, in Tenino, Washington, to the late Willard and Bernice (Robinson) Nichols.
Meemaw (Ann) was a person who enjoyed helping others. For instance, she loved to cook. Especially for large groups of friends, family and guests. She retired from Western Carolina University where she was head secretary for the Dean of the School of Education and Psychology.
She will be dearly missed by her loving children, Jenny Lynn Hooper, David Hooper, Jr, Ebbi Hastings; sister, Melissa Chandler (Buddy); grandchildren, Shelby Banks, Branson Stillwell, David Wesley Hooper; and brother-in-law, Tom Edmonds.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Warren Hooper; and sister, Joan Edmonds.
A Memorial Service for Ann will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday December 12, 2021, in the Chapel of Appalachian Funeral Servces, Sylva NC. Reverends Eddie Stillwell and Chad Chandler, officiating. The family will receive friends after the Service.
