Ina Ann Ray Jones died on June 16, 2025 at Great Oaks Senior Living in Monroe, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home in Loganville. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at Loganville First United Methodist Church with Rev. Ryan Miller officiating. A reception will follow at the church for family and friends. The inurnment will be held at Bay Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
A lifelong resident of Loganville, Ann was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Michael Ridgway Jones, Sr., her parents, Henry Branham Ray and Frances Elizabeth Livsey Ray, all of Loganville, as well as her stepbrother, Robert Benjamin Ray of Decatur, Georgia, and her stepsister, Mildred Mae Ray Crawford of Athens, Georgia. She is survived by her son, Michael Ridgway Jones, Jr. and her son-in-law, Jonathan Scott Parris, both of Atlanta, Georgia, her son, Austin Owen Jones and her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Ann Campbell Jones, both of Loganville, her beloved grandsons, Owen Walker Jones and Oliver Austin Jones, also of Loganville, and her step-nephew, Michael Evans Ray of Cashiers, North Carolina.
A 1961 graduate of Loganville High School, she received her Associate of Arts degree from Young Harris College in 1963. She was a paraprofessional in the Pickens County and Gwinnett County public schools, a co-owner of New Horizons Realty in Loganville and managed the Jones Law Firm in Loganville for over 20 years. She served as Chair of the Board of the O'Kelly Memorial Library in Loganville and as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Regional Library System for over 30 years and was also active in the Loganville Legacy Lions Club. She served as a Trustee and Historian of Loganville First United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School and was a lifelong, devoted congregant.
She deeply loved her family, her church and her town, and she was a wonderful, loving daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend. She touched many, many lives and will be greatly missed.
Floral contributions will be accepted, and donations may be made in her memory to Loganville First United Methodist Church, the O'Kelly Memorial Library, the Loganville Legacy Lions Club and George Walton Academy.
