MAHAFFEY - Steve Mahaffey was born on August 25, 1965 and passed away on August 25, 2025 at the age of 60. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed camping and especially fishing. Steve loved his dogs. They were like his children over the years. He owned his own business, Steve Mahaffey Inspections, and was a very hard worker. Steve loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was a very caring man. Steve never met a stranger and was always willing to help those in need. He was a loving husband, brother, son, and uncle. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Milton Hollis and Mary Kate (Reeves) Mahaffey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marvin and Hokie Wright. Surviving are his loving wife of over 40 years, Tanya Mahaffey; brother and sister-in-law, Tim (Linda) Mahaffey; sister-in-law, Kathleen Brown; nieces and nephews, Amber (Chris) Keene, Nikki (Taylor) Boyd, and Ryan Mahaffey; many great nieces and great nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, GA 30052. 770-466-1544.
