Ann Kintz Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 7, 2010.
Ann M. Kintz, 49, an Allen County native, died Sunday, March 7, 2010 surrounded by her family. Her chosen career in life was nursing. She was a graduate of Lutheran College of Health Professions, the University of Saint Frances with a BSRN from Indiana Wesleyan University. For years Ann worked at Parkview Home Healthcare specializing in pediatrics where she would visit each child with a warm touch, leave each child with a piece of her heart. Currently Ann was working as a community health nurse at the VA Hospital providing care to those veterans most in need. Her two additional goals in life were met; having her Harley Davidson motorcycle and traveling to Germany for Oktoberfest. To us Ann was a person you could count on for sound advice. She truly was a person who always was giving but never asking. She is survived by her brothers, Mike Kintz of Tucson, AZ; Steve (Brenda) Kintz of Cicero; sisters, Julia (Ray) Piasky of Valparaiso; Amy (Joe) Roach of Fort Wayne; her twin, Joan Kintz of Fort Wayne; uncle Charlie and aunt Ellen of Fort Wayne; loving family friend, Carolyn "Sue" Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, William E. and Grace P. Kintz. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 am Friday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church 1502 E. Wallen Rd. with calling 1/2 hour prior. Calling also 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm Thursday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home 1320 E. Dupont Rd with vigil at 4:30pm. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the German Heritage Society of Fort Wayne or Eastern Star, Waynedale Chapter #600.
