Ann KVALNES Obituary

KVALNES, Ann Elizabeth A beacon of love and selflessness, passed away peacefully, on January 16, 2026, in Maryland. Born on September 11, 1946, in South Boston, Massachusetts. Ann's gentle spirit and unwavering kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.

Ann was the cherished daughter of the late Francis and Ann Radcliffe. She grew up in a lively household with her beloved siblings. the late Margaret Burns, Frances Malone, Joan Coughlin, Mary Lucas, Russell Radcliffe, and William Radcliffe. Ann's capacity for love found a kindred spirit in Robert Kvalnes for 56 years, and together, they built a life filled with joy and devotion. Their enduring partnership was blessed with four wonderful children: Barbara A. Wied, Robert F. Kvalnes, Mary Gayle Kvalnes, and William B. Kvalnes.

A devoted mother and a cornerstone of her family, Ann's legacy lives on through her children and her adored grandchildren, Samantha, Lucas, Caleb, and Nora, who will forever cherish the memories of her warmth and guidance.

Ann's life was marked by her dedication to others, exemplified by her career as a Special Needs aid, where she supported and uplifted countless individuals with her boundless compassion. Her unwavering commitment to nurturing young minds extended to her role as a Den mother, where she instilled values of kindness and community in the hearts of many

A woman of deep Irish Catholic faith, Ann's life was a living testament to the principles of love and service. Her faith was her compass, guiding her through life's challenges and joys with grace and humility.

Passionate about sports, Ann was the quintessential New England fan, cheering on her favorite teams with unrivaled enthusiasm. She relished the excitement of game shows and reveled in the triumphs of the Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox, and Bruins. Her love for her teams was more than a pastime; it was a way to connect with friends, family, and the community.

Ann will be remembered as the epitome of loving kindness. Her selfless nature and gentle demeanor were her hallmark, leaving an indelible imprint on the hearts of those she encountered. Ann's legacy is not only in the love she shared, but also in the quiet strength and resilience she embodied throughout her life.
