Ann was a devoted spouse, parent, grandparent, great grandparent, member to her family, and friends. She was affectionately called "Mimi" to many of her family. She was a cherished member of the community. Margaret Ann Large, 82, of Umatilla, FL, passed away peacefully at Hospice House in Tavares following a brief battle of health complications on September 17, 2025. She was born in Umatilla, FL on January 2, 1943 to Oscar Clyde Green and Charlotte Post Green. Six siblings included Alice, Frances, Tommy, Donnie, Jackie and Bud. She attended kindergarten through high school in Umatilla. She began working at City Hall in Umatilla in 1963. She served the city for 38 years and retired as the City Clerk. She was a devoted employee, but most importantly enjoyed getting to know and relating with members of the community. She married the love of her life, Richard F. Large, in 1964 in Umatilla. They raised two sons, Richard F (Sandy) Large, Jr of Pierson and Eric A. Large of Umatilla. Grandchildren include Jennifer Cascio (Deland), Kara Mass (Oklahoma), Kayla Large (Eustis) and Savanna Large (Paisley). She was also blessed to have four great grandchildren, Coleman Cascio, Carter Cascio, Braelynn Law and Ava Mass as well as many nieces and nephews. She attended First United Methodist Church in Umatilla in the past. She loved celebrating holidays and other special occasions with her family as well as cooking for them. She also loved keeping up with current events and people in Umatilla, her hometown she loved so much. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years Richard, her parents Clyde and Charlotte Green, and four siblings, Alice, Donnie, Jackie and Tommy. Survivors include sons Richard (Sandy) Large, Eric Large, four granddaughters, two great grandsons and two great granddaughters as well as Frances Akins and Bud Green. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Friends and family visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 25 from 6-8pm at Beyers Funeral Home in Umatilla, FL. Funeral service will be at 11:00 am Friday, 9/26 at Beyers Funeral Home in Umatilla. Any donations wishing to be made can be made to Hospice House of Tavares, FL. Arrangements entrusted to Beyers Funeral Home of Umatilla, Florida.
