Ann G. Martin, 82 of Ringgold went home to be with her heavenly father Tuesday October 21, 2025.

She was born in Ringgold, on March 19, 1943, a daughter of the late James Archie and Muriel Austine Wright Goodlet.

She was a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Ringgold Ward.

Ann was a lifelong resident of Catoosa County where she taught in the school system 34 years. The last 18 years at Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School.

After her retirement Ann taught at the Catoosa County Learning Center and Dalton State.

Mrs. Martin loved genealogy and helping others research their family records and taught continuing education at UTC.

Ann loved Butterflies, Teddy Bears and the Color purple.

She was preceded in death by her son, William Brian Martin, , brother, James Arthur Goodlet, and a sister, Debbie Goodlet Goins.

Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years husband, Milton Martin, daughter Becca ( Chris Spangler ) Dempsey. daughter in law, Sheila Martin, Grandchildren Toni Sanders, Jessica Dempsey Leach, Drake ( Amanda ) Dempsey, Carma Plott, Tristen Martin and Alex ( Lorraina) Martin. Seven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services honoring the life of Ann G. Martin will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Thomas Hale officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Gardens

The family would like to thank the staff of Sacred Journey Hospice of Dalton for the Love and Cared extended to Ann and her family during her last days.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home and Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
