Donald “Don” Edward Martin, 82 of Salisbury, NC passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at his home. Don was Born in Pageton, WV.
Don dedicated 30 years of his career to Inland Steel in East Chicago, Indiana, before retiring. He was a proud Union member and a Mason for more than 50 years, as well as a United States veteran.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow and Stella (Simpkins), four brothers; Billy, James, Franklin, and Richard; as well as his late wife Eva Mai (Malugin) Martin.
He is survived by wife Mary ( Walker) Martin, his eleven children; Cammie, Leah Don, Jason, Toni, Mark, Trent, Brian, Barry, Greg, Jackie, and D.J. Don has four surviving brothers; Dan, Roger, Douglas, and Norman. He is also survived by four sisters: Marilyn Ferris, Joan Akers, Paulette Butler, and Joyce Carque. Don had many grandchildren, nieces and nephews who all held a special place in his heart.
Williams Funeral Home in Columbia, TN will be assisting the family with arrangements.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Sunday, October 26, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. at Santa Fe Cemetery.
