Mrs. Ann Mitchell

Mrs. Ann DeBruhl Mitchell, 73, passed peacefully into the presence of the Lord on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Mrs. Mitchell was born on March 7, 1952, to the late James Thomas DeBruhl and Gladys Deese DeBruhl, in Rock Hill, SC. One of her greatest passions in life was singing. Beginning at 6 years old, Mrs. Mitchell began sharing her talent with the world and continued to do so throughout her entire life. Most recently, she sang in the praise team, as church was very important to her. She began attending Eastside Baptist Church when she was very young, as her grandfather, Lonnie Deese, was a founding member. After faithfully attending for almost 47 years, she then began attending Harmony Baptist Church in Edgemoor. In her work life, she worked for Comporium for over 33 years, and since retirement, enjoyed working for Cotton Hills Farm at The Richburg Stand for the past several years. In her leisure time, she enjoyed spending time in the mountains with family, fishing with her husband Wayne, playing with her grand puppies, and sharing stories of her grandfather.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Joseph Wayne Mitchell; her daughter, Erica Mitchell; and her son, Nathan Mitchell and wife, Ashley Lacey.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 6:00pm to 7:30pm at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC. A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Harmony Baptist Church, 5403 Harmony Church Rd, Edgemoor, SC 29712. Burial will follow in the church cemetery after the service. Memorials, in memory of Ann Mitchell, can be made to Harmony Baptist Church, 5403 Harmony Church Road, Edgemoor, SC 29712.
