Ann L. Muser was born in Watertown, SD to Thomas and Janet (Six) Chapin on August 9, 1952. Ann graduated from Bryant High School. On June 21, 1971, she married her soulmate, Darrel Muser. They raised their children Shannon and Matt on their farm a mile south of Erwin, SD. Ann was a devoted housewife and mother. She kept a pristine home and garden, even raising her own flowers to dry for arrangements. She often helped decorate other people's homes as her excellent eye for beauty was appreciated by many. Ann had her own flower shop on the family's farm where she created floral arrangements and wreaths and dried her flowers. Her arrangements were used for many weddings and special events for family and friends. She was also a marvelous cook and baker. Her green beans with cheese sauce, tater tot hotdish, meatloaf, and cherry slices will be missed.
Ann was also very active in the community. She and Darrel were active members of Lake Preston Lutheran Church. She served as a Luther League leader and on altar guild and serving committees. Ann also was active in PCW and loved decorating for Snow Queen and luncheons. After her children left home, Ann served the community professionally at the local drug store, assisted living, flower shop, country club, greenhouse, and insurance company. Ann was also devoted to the Lord, doing daily devotions and reading her Bible. Darrel and Ann loved to travel and especially enjoyed sharing travel experiences with their friends. Following the musical and sporting activities of her grandkids and great-grandkids was one of her greatest joys.
Ann is survived by husband, Darrel Muser, son Matt (Janelle) Muser, and daughter Shannon (Ben) Schumacher; grandkids, Jordan, Haley, Lincoln, Hudson, and Gunner; great grandkids, Cohen and Julian; brothers, Terry (Rose) Chapin and Chris (Staci) Chapin; sister, Lorie (David) Olsen.
