Ann Munn Newman, born on Monday, September 27, 1937, in Georgia, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2026, in Brandon, MS. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. Ann had lived in the Brandon area since 1972, after moving from Tupelo, MS.
She was a member of First Baptist Fannin, where she found community, shared values, and faith. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of many who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Ron) McMaster, Cindy (Wayne) Murray, and Paula (Cliff) Latta. She cherished seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, each of whom held a special place in her heart. Additionally, she is remembered by her sisters, Alma Alexander, Pat Morgan, Juanita Ballard and Faye Schlein, along with several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles D. Munn, who passed away in 1990, as well as her parents, Rev. W.R. Turner and Pauline Lowe Turner. Ann was also preceded death by her sister, Reby Webler, and her brothers, Dempsey Turner, Rogers Turner, Jack Turner, and Billy Turner.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Ott & Lee Funeral Homes in Brandon MS. There will be a private family graveside at Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
Ann Munn Newman will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love and devotion to her family will inspire those she leaves behind.
