Ann Murphy Raffa, 86, of Osterville, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully surrounded by family.

Beloved wife of the late John Raffa. Loving mother to Kati Osterman, Annie Raffa and John Raffa, Jr. Ann was mother-in-law to Walter Osterman and Amy Raffa. She was the daughter of the late Francis J. and Margaret G. Murphy. Adored grandmother of Margot, Niccolo, and Francesca. Sister of the late Fr. Francis J.Murphy, Margaret "Jims" Murphy, and Joan Murphy.

Ann was born and raised in her beloved Mission Hill. She graduated from Mount St. Joesph and Regis College. Ann met the love of her life while teaching at the Quincy School in Dedham. John and Ann married on Easter Sunday, 1963, at Mission Church in Boston. The couple had 57 wonderful years together.

Ann will be remembered for her kind heart, fun-loving spirit, devotion to family, and strong faith. She will be greatly missed.

A funeral Mass will be held at The Church of the Resurrection in Hingham on Saturday, September 18th at 10 am. Interment will be private. I was fortunate to have Miss Murphy as a teacher in the Quincy School in Dedham. She was my favorite teacher. That´s grade 1-12 and college. I remember her well and fondly. I am glad she had such a wonderful life.
