"Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord." — Matthew 25:23

Ann Turner Reynolds, lovingly known as “Mama Ann” to all who knew her, went home to be with the Lord on September 26, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by her family. Born December 30, 1939, to Clark Wilson and Grace Jennings Turner, Ann lived a life full of love, kindness, and service.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Terrell Wayne Reynolds; and her siblings, Mildred Hardwick Mitchell, James Turner, and Nancy Grishaw.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl McCoy and husband John; her son, Steve Reynolds; her grandchildren, Macon McCoy, Trey McCoy and wife Jordan; and her great-grandchildren, Jackson Jennings, Emmett McCoy, and Audie McCoy. Also surviving are her siblings, Arthur Turner and wife Dotty, Marian McAlpin, Joe Turner and wife Marina, and Mike Turner and wife Linda as well as many nieces and nephews.

Ann devoted 37 years of her life as a Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery at Virginia Baptist Hospital, where she cared for countless families and helped welcome new life into the world. She was also a gifted seamstress, creating wedding gowns, doll clothes, Halloween costumes, and handmade quilts and throws that will forever be treasured. Her gardens bloomed with color and abundance, and she delighted in sharing their beauty and bounty.

To her family, friends, and community, she was more than Ann—she was “Mama Ann”: a source of love, comfort, generosity, and strength. Her life was a testament to her faith, her giving heart, and her devotion to others. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 2, 2025, from 2:00 p.m.- 6:00 p.m. at Ann’s residence located at 288 Babcock Road Rustburg, VA 24588.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg located at 220 Breezewood Drive Lynchburg, VA 24502 with Rev. Wayne Lanham officiating.
