Ann C. (Alward) Richards, 74, of Bedford, passed away at home per her wishes on October 29, 2024, with her loving family by her side after a courageous battle with her disease.
She was born in Manchester on July 30, 1950, the daughter of the late Bertram and Loretta (Brown) Alward. She had worked for Toys “R” Us for over 33 years, retiring as a front-end manager. Ann loved her dog Kaede and enjoyed reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a son. Shawn Richards in 1996.
Family members include her husband of 44 years, Edward J. Richards, Jr; two sons, Ryan Richards and his husband Peter of Manchester and Scott Richards of AZ; a daughter, Brooke Richards and her significant other, René Morin of Manchester; a grandson; four sisters, June Edwards and Pamela Stone, both of Manchester; Monica Alward of MA and Kathleen Gosselin and her husband Joseph of Manchester; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
A memorial gathering will take place at the Cremation Society of NH, 243 Hanover St. Manchester on Friday, November 8th from 1:00 PM to 2:30 PM with a committal service to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. For more information or to view an on-line memorial, go to www.csnh.com
