Ann Nemeth Somma

Ann Somma died peacefully on June 26, 2022 after a beautiful life,
right to the end, even through a five year battle with Dementia.
She was born on August 9, 1932, in White Plains, the daughter of
the late Stephen and Sophie Nemeth. At White Plains High School
Ann and Larry (Sonny) Somma became sweethearts and were
married on September 9, 1951. For over 50 years she was a devoted,
loving wife to this wonderful man. Ann worked as a secretary at
WFAS Radio Station in Hartsdale for over 20 years and also as a
Purchasing Assistant at New York Hospital in White Plains.
Family was her pride and joy. Ann enjoyed spending time with all
her family, cooking, knitting, and opera. She was a affectionate and
caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister,
sister-in-law, and friend, all who loved her deeply. Ann touched so
many lives and will be truly missed. We will continue to celebrate
her life, and always carry her in our hearts. She is survived by her
two loving daughters, Debbie and Patti, son-in-law, Tom,
wonderful grandchildren, Meghan, Stephen, Jacquelyn, Andrew,
Jeffrey, Ryan, Emily, Wil, Samme, and her great-grandchildren,
Thomas, Connor, Rowan, Ford, Claire, Vincent, and Emily.
Ann took great pride in her daughters, grandchildren, and great
children, sister-in-law, Marilyn, brothers-in-law, Michael and
Joseph. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Lawrence
Somma.
Memorial service will be at the Ballard-Durand Funeral Home,
2 Maple Avenue at South Broadway, White Plains, NY, 10601
