Ann St.Onge Obituary

Brunswick- Ann Elizabeth St. Onge, 93, of Brunswick, Maine, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, surrounded by her loving family at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

Born in Brunswick on August 12, 1932, Ann graduated from Brunswick High School in 1950 and went on to earn her nursing diploma from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing. In the spring of 1954, she married her beloved husband of 65 years, Jean (John) Marie St. Onge, with whom she raised five children.

Ann worked as a nurse at the Bowdoin College infirmary for 25 years. She was a lifelong swimmer with a deep love for the Maine coast, cherishing her summers at Mere Point, Harpswell, Popham Beach, and Bailey Island. When she and John retired, they wintered in Florida, eventually settling in Venice. There, she found a wonderful community of friends and neighbors that made it home. She loved trips to the Jetty, and of course the pool.

Ann was known to all as a strong, kind, and spiritual woman who exemplified the teachings of her Catholic faith. The picture of elegance, Ann was always put together, getting even more stylish with age. Above all, Ann was a devoted and supportive wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John; her parents, Bertha and Thomas Mitchell; her brother, Thomas Mitchell; and her sister, Margaret Reaves.

Ann is survived by her children and their spouses-Mark and Candice St. Onge, Michael and Paula St. Onge, Martine and Dennis Fogg, Matthew and Betsey St. Onge, and John and Celia St. Onge-as well as 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House.

Ann's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 132 McKeen Street Brunswick on October 14, 2025, at 10 a.m., followed by burial at Growstown Cemetery on Church Road, Brunswick. A reception will then be held at the Portland Country Club in Falmouth.

Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Stetson's Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 12 Federal Street, Brunswick, Maine.

Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared with the family on the obituary page of the Stetson's Funeral Home website, www.stetsonsfuneralhome.com
