Ann Thompson passed away at Denver Hospice on August 16, 2024, after a long illness. She was 81. Ann was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt. She was born on August 13, 1943 to Crescencio and Rosa Salas in Sugar City, Colorado, and was raised on the family farm in Ordway, Colorado. Upon graduating from Ordway High School, she attended beauty college in Pueblo. She was a property manager until retirement.

Ann's greatest passion in life was her family, and she most enjoyed her time when she was surrounded by them. She was preceded in death by her parents, her cherished daughter Monica Lynn, siblings Frances Perez, Carol Sandoval, Andrea Rodriguez, Stella Apodaca, Mary Lou Marlow, Joseph Robert Salas, and Josephine Montoya. She missed them all dearly and spoke of them often. Ann is survived by her three sons Michael (Kirsten) Thompson, Matthew Thompson, and Kenneth Thompson, grandsons Christopher Wesson and David (Krystina) Wesson, great grandchildren Tyler, Kaj and Kadence Wesson, numerous nieces and nephews, her longtime companion Darrell Hall, and other loving family members and friends, as well as her little dog, Chico, who misses her so much.

Ann will always be remembered as a beautiful woman inside and out with a laugh and smile to match. We love and miss her so much.

A Celebration of Life will be held for Ann on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 12:00 pm at Newcomer East Metro Chapel, 190 Potomac Street, Aurora, CO 80011. There will be a reception in the Reception Room following the service. The memorial service will also be available online for those who would like to attend that way. Please reach out to Mike or Kirsten for more information.

Interment of ashes will be at Lakeview Cemetery in Sugar City, Colorado at a date TBD where Ann will be laid to rest next to her daughter.
