Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral service for Ms. Ann Hunter White, age 79, who passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at her son, Michael Spell’s residence under the care of Spanish Oaks Hospice.
Ann was born December 7, 1944, in Appling County to the late Alton Parker Hunter and Willie Mae McNeal Hunter. Ms. White was a 1962 graduate of Appling County High School where she was a member of the Appling County Pirate Basketball team who won the state championship in 1962. She attended Crandall Business College in Macon. In 1964 she began her career at Bax-Steel Buildings where she remained employed for 60 years.
Ann is preceded in death her parents, her brothers, Carrol Hunter, David Hunter, Thomas Hunter, and sisters, Jean Carter, Betty Dumas and Nina Beth Wigley.
Surviving is her son, Michael Spell (Kelly) of Baxley, three grandchildren, Marlie Keller (Charlie) of California, Karson Brown (Steven) and Kendall Faith Thomas (Colby); two grandsons, Clint Spell, Parker Spell both of Alma and Matthew Spell (Kaylee) of Springfield, Ga; eleven great grandchildren, Sammy Spell, Mordeci Spell, Samara Spell, Tobyis Spell, Hagan Spell, Freyjia Spell, Lexi Keller, Chip Keller, Asher Brown, Hayden Brown, and Crimson Laine Thomas; four siblings, Nettie O’Quinn, Mary Alice Ross (Ron), Mac Hunter, and A.P. Hunter (Debbie); a host of nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 3:00 P.M. from Midway Baptist Church with Reverend Tommy Daniels, and Reverend Ron Ross officiating.
Interment will follow in the Midway Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at Midway Baptist Church.
Active Pallbearers will be Clint Spell, Parker Spell, Matthew Spell, Sammy Spell, Steven Brown, and Colby Thomas.
Honorary Pallbearers will be all past and present employees of Bax-Steel Building.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to the 24/7 House 4765 Hatch Parkway, North, Baxley, Ga 31513.
The family will gather at the residence of Ms. Ann White, 203 High Bluff Rd Baxley, Ga 31513.
