Anna Urrizaga Alberdi

1955 - 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anna Maria Urrizaga Alberdi, daughter, sister, mother, aunt and loving grandmother. Anna was born in Salmon, Idaho on March 18, 1955, and left this world on December 5, 2025. Through her journey of 70 years, Anna touched so many lives with her guidance, leadership, wisdom, humor and her unwavering spirit of perseverance.

Anna was retired, but for so many years was a salesperson for local car dealerships and was sales manager at KELK radio, and was the station manager at KRJC radio for many years. Anna and her family also owned Razberries and Roses a local flower business.

Anna gave so much of her talents and creative spirit to the Elko community, including the conceptional idea and bringing the "Running with the Bulls" to the Elko Basque festivals, she was the driving force to bring the original "Trick or Treat street" to the Elko youth, and personally painted all the doors for the original Trick or Treat street. Anna was an Ariniak Dancer and an Ariniak instructor for the Elko Basque club for many, many years, and one of the founding members of the adult Basque dance group 'Beti Egarri', which was such an accomplishment and sense of joy for her to dance with the adult dance group. Anna was an amazing accomplished and creative artist, she designed and was the original artist for the 'Tree of Gernika' mural located still at the Elko handball courts and she was also a remarkable oil and pastel artist.

Anna's legacy of hard work, dedication, and perseverance throughout her life will be carried forward by those who had the privilege of knowing her, working for her, working with her or just by being her friend. Her life will forever be an inspiration, and a testament to the power of love, hard work and family. Anna will be greatly missed, and forever remembered.

Anna is survived by her loving children, Yusenka Izoco (Roger), Malaina Fesenmaier (Chad), her grandchildren, Ysanna Fesenmaier, Andoni Fesenmaier and Bernard Fesenmaier, her sister Grace Bush (Phil); brother, Albert Urrizaga, Nieces, Chesarae Niskern (Cody), Zoe Fender (Casey) Gaylen Christean III (Ana), along with her 5 'great' nieces and nephews. Anna's family has always been the light of her life, the spark in her eye and the reason she smiled every day.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Bernardo "Speed" Urrizaga, Evelyn Urrizaga, her brothers Bernardo Urrizaga Jr., and Raymond Urrizaga.

A memorial service for Anna will be held on December 15, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Elko, Nevada, graveside services and a luncheon reception at the Elko Basque Clubhouse will immediately follow the services. We invite all who knew her, were mentored by Anna and loved her to join us in honoring her memory.
