Anna Bamber Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 21, 2024.
Anna (Ann) Margaret Bamber passed away peacefully on July 12, 2024, at the age of 74 in Halifax, NS. Born on May 28, 1950, Ann lived a life marked by her caring nature, humor, and compassion. She was a hardworking individual, not only in her career at Sobeys in Lower Sackville, where she eventually retired, but also in her personal life as a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.

Known for her quick wit and outspoken nature, Ann brought laughter and warmth to those around her. She was an amazing mother to her son, Roy Bamber, and daughter, Tammy Bilodeau (Claude). Ann was also a loving grandmother to Dustin Bamber (Hilary), and to Olivia and Abigail Bilodeau.

Ann's love extended beyond her immediate family to include her many siblings, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. The family extends special thanks to Ann's sister Maureen for her loving support, as well as the palliative care nurses at the VG Hospital for their compassionate care during her final days.

Ann was an active individual with a passion for darts, bingo, washer toss, and various creative crafting activities. She enjoyed her time as a volunteer with the Ladies Auxiliary at the Sackville Legion. These hobbies brought joy not only to Ann but also to those who participated along side her.

A memorial service will be held at the Sackville Legion, located at 45 Sackville Cross Road, Lower Sackville, N.S., on July 26th at 11:00 am. To celebrate Ann's love of life and vibrant personality, the family encourages attendees to wear something glittery or pink.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Ann can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Ann's legacy of love, laughter, and resilience will continue to inspire all who knew her.

I met Anne also at Sobeys, she was very quick to make you feel welcome and a great teacher. Anne loved her darts and loved to talk about her 2 children that she was very proud of. She will be missed.

I met Anne at Sobeys & was lucky to work by her side in the deli. She was so funny, her quick wit had us all laughing. She also supported me in my Princess House career, along with the rest of her family.
Those were fun times! We would gather at Anne's mom's house and the laughter never stopped.
I had the pleasure of meeting her extended family & hearing the stories of when they were young.
Bedtime stories were my favorite lol.
Anne was kind, funny, and one of the hardest workers, I'd ever met.
She will be deeply missed.
Big hugs to Tammy & Roy, her grandchildren & her siblings.
She was one of kind xo

Tammy, Roy and families: My sincere condolences on the loss of your mom. I loved Ann. I remember back when she used to come to babysit us in Wallis Heights in Dartmouth. We all enjoyed having her. I am sure she is now re-united with those that have gone before her. Heaven has another Angel.
