Bernice Bamber Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home - Middletown on Jan. 7, 2026.
Bernice M. Bamber, age 81 of Lewes, Delaware, found eternal peace on January 4, 2026.
Born in Swoyersville, Pennsylvania, she was the only child of the late Elizabeth and John Matisko.
Bernice worked in the banking industry after raising her children and later helped run her family business. Bernice was a devout Catholic who took comfort in attending mass. She loved gardening, crafting, shopping, traveling, and listening to Elvis music; however, her greatest joy was supporting her beloved grandchildren at their games and events.
In addition to her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert, with whom she shared 57 years of marriage and her son, John.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Joseph Lamers; her son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Amie Bamber, her grandchildren, Brady, Brett, Bryce (Hannah), Braelyn, Corrin, and Zaiden, and her niece Donna Mobilia (Raymond).
Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing on Monday evening, January 12th from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, Delaware, 19709 or on Tuesday, January 13th, from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M. at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 209 Washington Street, Delaware City, Delaware, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 A.M. Interment at All Saints Cemetery in Wilmington, Delaware, will follow mass.
Bernice will live on in the hearts and memories of her family and friends.
