Alfred D "Dan" Logan

Alfred "Dan" Logan, age 72, of Middletown, DE passed away peacefully at home on February 6, 2026.

Born January 11, 1954, in Wilmington, DE to the late Alfred and Marjorie Logan. Dan grew up in Cranston Heights. He graduated from McKean High School in 1972 and Del-Tech Community College in 1977. On June 7, 1975, he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Nancy. He was an active Boy Scout Leader of Troop 43, earning many merit badges.

Dan worked in the electronics field for many years then started his own Electronics repair business, Logan Electronics, which he owned and operated for 30+ years.

He enjoyed spending his free time with family, friends and traveling the United States; particularly visiting and camping in the National Parks.

Dan was an active member of Connection Community Church where he held the position of Head Trustee for several years and was the Lead Usher for one of the Sunday services. Dan enjoyed working on and overseeing many of the projects at the church. He played a key role in the construction, working with the builder on every aspect of the current building on Summit Bridge Road.

During his time outside of church, he enjoyed many fishing trips with his best friend of 60+ years, Dave McCarter. Dan also loved NHRA Drag Racing, NASCAR, gardening, bike riding with a group of friends, and many other hobbies.

Dan also had a love for classic muscle cars, especially driving his Oldsmobile 442 to car shows and restoring his 1968 Pontiac GTO.

During his recent years, Dan put his hobbies aside to spend time with his granddaughters, Ella and Macie Logan, which originally, he claimed "would not change my life one bit."

In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by his in laws, brothers and sisters-in-law and his oldest sister.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Logan; son and daughter-in-law, Mark & Amanda Logan; and grand-daughters, Ella and Macie Logan.

A funeral will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Connection Community Church, 4744 Summit Bridge Rd., Middletown, DE at 12 noon. A viewing will be held from 11am -12pm. Burial will follow in Old Drawyers Cemetery, Middletown, DE.
