Christine Elizabeth Cardona

Christine Elizabeth Cardona, age 51, of Middletown, DE, passed away peacefully at her home on February 22, 2026.

She was born on June 28, 1974, to parents Penny and William. Always an academic, she graduated top of her class in 1993. While in school, she joined the ROTC. This would eventually lead her towards the beginnings of her military career in 1993 when she joined the US Air Force. She served for 8 distinguished years, achieving the honor of serving on the Color Guard. Eventually, she received an honorary discharge in 2001. She put herself through school, achieving a master's degree and graduating Summa Cum Laude from Walden University.

On March 2, 2007, she married her beloved companion, Edwin. Over time came Alayna, Alexander, and Adrian, who joined Tatiana, and her family was complete. She loved her family fiercely with a level of devotion that was awe-inspiring.

An avid sports fan, she loved her Sixers, Eagles, and especially her Philadelphia Phillies. Her youngest, Adrian Chase, is named after her favorite player, Chase Utley.

She shared her love of live music with her family. Traveling the country to see her favorite bands, U2, Coldplay, Imagine Dragons, and Linkin Park. The favorite band of the family being Twenty-One Pilots.

She had a passion for escape rooms. Always finding one wherever the family vacationed.

She had an extraordinary career, starting at MBNA, Wilmington Trust, and eventually BlackRock.

Christine is survived by her life partner, Edwin, children, Tatiana, Alayna, Alexander, and Adrian, grandchildren, Robbie and Nate, parents, Penny and Larry, sisters, Jennifer and Samantha, as well as her nephews, Michael and Jameson. She is also survived by her grandfather, Donald.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 1, 2026, from 10-11 am at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home, 212 N. Broad St., Middletown, DE 19709. The service will begin at 11 am. Burial will be held privately.
