Anna was born on May 22, 1958, and grew up in the Minneapolis metro area, but was always a small-town gal at heart.
She resided in many cities but fell in love with the town of Brainerd, which became her fresh start in life and the place she called home. Anna earned her Associate's degree from Central Lakes College with all A's, and continued her education, studying law at Hamlin University, all while raising her four kids! Later in life Anna had two more kids (twins) after resettling back to the Brainerd area. Anna then became a medical records analyst and spent many years working for St, Joseph's Hospital in Brainerd.
When Anna wasn't working she greatly enjoyed time outdoors: working on her organic vegetable garden, swimming in the pool, and grilling for her family. Anna enjoyed spending time at home watching her favorite television programs: the Good Doctor, Supernatural, Bones, and the Voice. Anna loved spending time with her family and having coffee over the phone on Sundays with her sister Lynn. Anna was a huge animal lover and rescued many pets throughout her lifetime. Her favorite items were the color blue, ice cream, dark chocolate, Pepsi, coffee (at all hours of the day), softs blankets, and Weeping Willow trees.
Anna is survived by her children Liane Kilbourne, Sarah Larson, Shane Larson, Brittany (Jesse O’Connor), Brent (Krissanne) Bement; grandchildren Nova Kilbourne, Phoenix Hogan, Kyuss Hogan, and Kayden J. Larson, Zariah Banks, Ja’Kora Banks, Kahleesia Banks, Orion O’Connor, Brently Bement and Aria Bement; siblings Lynn (John) Nicolai, Lisa Brecount, Amie Bruneau, Jacqueline (Jeremy) Seymour, Heidi Sundeen, and John (Jill) Brecount; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents Philip and Sandra (Schardin) Brecount, Husband Troy Kilbourne and her son Jerel Kilbourne.
In Lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society (alz.com) or the Babinski Foundation to help with sheltered animals.
