Anna Burbank

Ann passed away in San Jose after a short illness in the hospital. She was 87 years old. Ann was born in Rochester, New York to parents Nick and Mary Coccia. She was raised there and always was very close to her family. In the early sixties Ann and her parents moved to Phoenix and later moved to San Jose in the late sixties.

She worked at Ford Motor Company in Milpitas as a Secretary and years later she met her husband William Burbank who later passed away. She also met two close friends in Mary Ann Low and Weda Gray and maintained the friendship for 55 years. Ann and Mary Ann were like sisters since neither one had siblings. She was also still very close to her family.

She is survived by her cousins in New York Angela Borrelli, Vicky Delisanti, Angela Terrella, Reno Lippa andGeorge Sevastano. She also had two deceased cousins Marianna Palozzi and Paula Stearns. In San Jose she is survived by her stepdaughter Packy Heitert, Paul Heitert and his wife Carmen and three children. She always loved going to the kid's soccer games.

Ann was a member of Saint Anthony Church in San Jose. She was a greeter at 8:30 Mass on Sundays and she always had a big smile for everyone. She enjoyed activities with her Church family and loved playing cards every Friday morning with her widows group.

Mass is on Thursday, 9/18 at 10:00 am at Saint Anthony Church on McKean Road in San Jose. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or to Saint Anthony Outreach Program.
