Anna D'Olivo Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hull's Walnut Creek Chapel on Apr. 9, 2024.
Born July 23, 1929 in a house on Lyon Street in San Francisco, "the year of the crash," as she always added. Anna was the 2nd of 4 children born to Radovan & Tomana Radulovich who had emigrated from Montenegro in 1913. The family moved to Mountain View after Anna was born, and then into a house her father proudly built in Redwood City. She attended Central grammar school, McKinley Junior High and graduated from Sequoia High School in 1947.
Anna met her husband George through mutual friends in 1947 and they were married at Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in 1951. George & Anna settled in Millbrae where George's family owned a local bar/restaurant named "George's Place." Anna worked at the local Bank of California, alongside her husband at "The Place" and later at Amana Corporation. When her children were born, Anna devoted her life to being a loving wife and mother. She was actively involved in the community along with all of her children's sports, clubs and school activities.
After her husband George passed away, Anna moved to the East Bay to be closer to her family and grandchildren. She spent countless hours babysitting, going to their various school and sporting events and spending time with them and their families. She went on family vacations, enjoyed celebrations, holidays and parties and was a daily part of their lives. She never missed one of her grandchildren's events and was known to all of them as "Baba." Even her grandchildren's friends, parents of friends and extended family all called her Baba..she was everyone's favorite Grandmother.
Anna was a very positive, kind and proud woman.she was extremely proud of her family and of her Montenegrin heritage. Upon moving to the East Bay she joined Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Moraga and began devoting a lot of her time volunteering and supporting all the various clubs, committees and events at the church. She reconnected with her Serbian roots, and enjoyed traditions and speaking the language she spoke as a child. She made many wonderful friends at Holy Trinity Church, which filled her life with joy and deepened her faith.
Anna is preceded in death by her husband George R. D'Olivo Jr., her brother George Radulovich, and is survived by her sister Olga Mairani, brother Milo Radulovich, children George III (Lisa) D'Olivo, Juliana (Jim) Levesque, grandchildren Zakary (Raney) Levesque, Alyssa (Patty) Mills, Alexander Levesque, Lexi (Blake) Zamudio, George IV, great grandchildren Enzo & Bruno Zamudio, and many loving nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church in Moraga on Wednesday April 17, 2024 at 9:30am, funeral services to follow at the Serbian Orthodox Cemetery in Colma, and a lunch at the Basque Cultural Center in SSF. On April 28, 2024 there will be a Parastos Mass and lunch at Holy Trinity Serbian Church in Moraga.
