Mrs. Louise Disney, age 87, of Barbourville departed this life on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at her home. She was born on September 17, 1937, in Cannon, Kentucky, the daughter of Tip and Delia Jones. She united in marriage with Harold Leon Disney and to this union two sons were born. Louise was a member of the East Barbourville Baptist Church. She was a member of the Red Hat Club, was an avid bridge player. She volunteered at the Knox County hospital and was very active in her church where she loved serving others.
Her husband and parents precede her in death along with a sister, Betty Rhodes.
Left behind to mourn her passing, her two sons, Greg Disney and wife Sherilenna of Indiana and Jimmy Disney and wife Robin of Goodlettsville, TN, one sister, Sandra Penn and husband Barry of Barbourville, four grandchildren, Kelli Vance and husband Ben, Lauren Fryrear and husband Garrett, Holli Disney and Austin Disney and fiance’ Bella, four great-grandchildren, Lauren Disney, Gracie Disney, Cole Fryrear and Lily Fryrear, two special cousins, Anna Gander and Joyce Cole, her long-time caregiver, Dorothy Case and two special friends, Judy Foley and Sherri Hammons, She also leaves behind many other relatives and friends.
Her funeral service will be conducted on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home Chapel with her son Jimmy Disney and Rev. Josh Smith officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Barbourville Cemetery beside her husband. Pallbearers will be, Ben Vance, Garrett Fryrear, Austin Disney, Steve Rhodes, Tanner Mills, Trevor Mils and Roger Brooks. Hampton-Hutton Funeral Home is in charge of arrangments.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 2:00 p.m.
